  • raised against recombinant cyclin E of human origin
  • Anti-cyclin E Antibody (HE12) is recommended for detection of cyclin E (doublet at 50 kDa and single band at 42 kDa) of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and IHC(P); Highly expressed in testis and placenta. Low levels in bronchial epithelial cells.
  • cyclin E Antibody (HE12) is available conjugated to FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP and m-IgG1 BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for cyclin E Antibody (HE12) for WB and IHC(P) applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with cyclin E Antibody (HE12) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

Cyclin E Antibody (HE12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects cyclin E protein (doublet at 50 kDa and single band at 42 kDa) of mouse, rat, and human origin through western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry. Cyclin E (HE12) antibody is available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. Cyclins, including cyclin E, were first identified in invertebrates as proteins that exhibit dramatic oscillations throughout the cell cycle, and have been highly conserved across evolution, underscoring their essential role in regulating cell division. Cyclin E functions as a key regulator of the G1 phase of the cell cycle, forming a complex with the transcription factor E2F. This complex is crucial for the expression of several S phase-specific proteins, facilitating the transition from G1 phase to S phase of the cell cycle. Cyclin E mRNA levels peak near the G1/S boundary, highlighting temporal regulation and significance in cell cycle progression. Understanding cyclin E′s role in cell division provides insights into mechanisms underlying cell proliferation and potential implications in cancer biology, where dysregulation of cyclins is often observed.
