cyclin B2 Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects cyclin B2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-cyclin B2 antibody (A-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. cyclin B2 plays a crucial role in regulating cell cycle, particularly during transition from G2 phase to mitosis. cyclin B2 functions by forming a complex with cyclin-dependent kinase Cdc2, which is essential for activating maturation-promoting factor (MPF). This activation is vital for proper progression of mitosis, triggering phosphorylation of various substrates that lead to chromatin condensation, nuclear envelope breakdown, and spindle formation. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody.
