CXCR-3 Antibody (G-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CXCR-3 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CXCR-3 (G-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CXCR-3, also known as IP-10/MIG receptor, plays a crucial role in immune response by mediating chemotaxis and calcium mobilization in T lymphocytes in response to specific C-X-C chemokines such as IP-10 and MIG. This function directs the migration of activated T cells to sites of inflammation, contributing to the body′s defense mechanisms against pathogens and regulation of immune responses. CXCR-3 is highly expressed in IL-2-activated T lymphocytes, underscoring its significance in adaptive immunity, while remaining absent in resting T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes, monocytes, and granulocytes, highlighting its role as a marker for activated immune cells.
