    SEE ALSO...

CTRP2 Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CTRP2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CTRP2 antibody (B-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CTRP2, also known as C1QTNF2 (C1q and tumor necrosis factor-related protein 2), is a 285 amino acid secreted protein characterized by one C1q domain and one collagen-like domain, which are crucial for mediating various biological processes, including inflammation and metabolic regulation. CTRP2 is primarily secreted into the extracellular space, where CTRP2 interacts with other proteins and receptors, influencing pathways related to adipogenesis and insulin sensitivity. Understanding CTRP2 function is vital, as CTRP2 has been implicated in metabolic disorders such as obesity and diabetes, making CTRP2 a significant target for therapeutic interventions. CTRP2 is encoded on human chromosome 5, which is notable for its association with several genetic disorders, including Cockayne syndrome and familial adenomatous polyposis, highlighting CTRP2′s importance in both health and disease contexts.
