    SEE ALSO...

CTRB1/2 Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Chymotrypsinogen B1, Chymotrypsin B1, Chymotrypsinogen B2, and Chymotrypsin B2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CTRB1/2 (B-3) antibody is available in non-conjugated form and conjugated to agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® variants. Chymotrypsins, including Chymotrypsin B (CTRB1) and Chymotrypsin B2 (CTRB2), are essential digestive enzymes that perform proteolysis by cleaving peptide bonds at the carboxyl side of aromatic amino acids like tyrosine, tryptophan, leucine, and phenylalanine. This enzymatic activity helps break down proteins into smaller peptides and amino acids, which are crucial for nutrient absorption and metabolic processes. These enzymes are synthesized in the pancreas as inactive precursors, Chymotrypsinogen B1 and Chymotrypsinogen B2, and become activated through proteolytic cleavages that create a three-polypeptide structure stabilized by disulfide bonds. Proper regulation of Chymotrypsin activity is essential, as dysregulation can cause digestive disorders and other health issues, making anti-CTRB1/2 antibody (B-3) valuable for studying these proteins in various biological contexts.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398721 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
