SEE ALSO...

CSN8 Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CSN8 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CSN8 (F-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CSN8 is a crucial component of the COP9 signalosome (CSN) complex, which plays a significant role in regulating the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, a vital process for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating protein degradation. The CSN complex, composed of several proteins including CSN1 (COPS1), CSN2 (COPS2), CSN3 (COPS3), CSN4 (COPS4), CSN5 (COPS5), CSN6 (COP6), CSN7a (COPS7, COPS7a), CSN7b (COP7b), and CSN8 (COP8), is essential for the deneddylation of SCF-type E3 ligase complexes, which in turn decreases ubiquitin ligase activity. This regulation is critical for various cellular processes, including cell cycle progression and response to stress signals. CSN8 is involved in the phosphorylation of key proteins such as p53, c-Jun, IκBα, and IRF-8, which are important for cell survival and apoptosis. CSN8′s ability to modulate these pathways highlights its importance in cellular signaling and potential implications in cancer and other diseases where these pathways are dysregulated.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with CSN8 (F-8): sc-393482?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
