CSN6 Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CSN6 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CSN6 (B-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CSN6 functions as a crucial component of the COP9 signalosome (CSN) complex, which plays a significant role in regulating the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, a vital mechanism for protein degradation and cellular regulation. The CSN complex, composed of several proteins including CSN1, CSN2, CSN3, CSN4, CSN5, CSN6, CSN7a, CSN7b, and CSN8, is essential for various developmental and cellular processes. CSN6 participates in the deneddylation of SCF-type E3 ligase complexes, reducing ubiquitin ligase activity and influencing protein stability and turnover. CSN6 also contributes to the phosphorylation of key regulatory proteins such as p53 and c-Jun, which are critical for cell cycle control and apoptosis. Understanding CSN6 function and interactions within the CSN complex helps elucidate cellular regulation mechanisms and potential implications in various diseases, including cancer.
