CSB Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects CSB in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CSB, also known as excision repair cross-complementing protein-6, plays a crucial role in the nucleotide excision repair pathway, specifically in the repair of DNA lesions that occur on the transcribed strand of active genes. This preferential repair mechanism is vital for maintaining genomic stability and preventing mutations that can lead to various diseases, including Cockayne′s syndrome, a disorder characterized by sensitivity to UV light and developmental defects. CSB (B-10) antibody specifically targets a member of the SWI/SNF family that possesses helicase motifs along with ATPase activity, which are essential for unwinding DNA during the repair process. Anti-CSB antibody (B-10) enables researchers to study interactions with other key proteins involved in DNA repair, such as CSA, to coordinate the repair of damaged DNA effectively, making CSB monoclonal antibody (B-10) an invaluable tool for studying DNA repair mechanisms and their dysfunction in human health.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with CSB (B-10): sc-137090?

Asked by: AbPolly
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
