    SEE ALSO...

CRYZL1 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects CRYZL1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CRYZL1 (B-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CRYZL1, also known as ζ-crystallin-like 1, plays a crucial role in maintaining the transparency and refractive index of the eye lens, which is vital for proper vision. CRYZL1 is expressed in various tissues, including heart, brain, skeletal muscle, kidney, pancreas, liver, and lung, indicating potential involvement in diverse physiological processes. CRYZL1 shares a high degree of homology with ζ-crystallin, which is known for NADPH-dependent quinone reductase activity, suggesting CRYZL1 may also participate in redox reactions and cellular stress responses. Expression of CRYZL1 in multiple tissues highlights importance in both lens transparency and broader cellular functions, making CRYZL1 a significant target for research in ocular health and related disorders.

What blocking solution should I use with CRYZL1 (B-7): sc-514537 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
