CRP3 Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CRP3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CRP3 Antibody (A-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cysteine and glycine-rich protein 3 (CRP3), also known as cysteine-rich protein 3, cardiac LIM protein (CLP), muscle LIM protein (MLP), LMO4, or CMD1M, plays a crucial role in myogenic differentiation as an essential nuclear regulator. CRP3 is primarily located in the nucleus, where CRP3 influences gene expression related to muscle development and repair. This nuclear localization enables CRP3 to interact with transcription factors and other regulatory proteins, thereby modulating the expression of genes necessary for muscle cell differentiation and function. Notably, defects in the gene encoding CRP3 (CSRP3) can lead to dilated cardiomyopathy 1M (CMD1M), a serious condition characterized by impaired cardiac function and dilation of the heart chambers. Human CSRP3 is mapped to the gene locus 11p15.1, highlighting its significance in both cardiac health and disease.
