SEE ALSO...

Crk-L Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Crk-L protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Crk-L (B-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. Crk-L protein plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in regulating cell growth, differentiation, and survival, making Crk-L an important target for understanding oncogenic processes. Located in the cytoplasm, Crk-L interacts with various signaling molecules, facilitating signal transmission from cell surface receptors to downstream effectors, which is vital for maintaining normal cellular functions and responding to external stimuli. Crk-L protein is characterized by one SH2 domain and two SH3 domains, allowing binding to phosphorylated tyrosine residues and mediating protein-protein interactions. This structural configuration is essential for signal transduction, as Crk-L functions as an adaptor protein linking different signaling pathways, thereby influencing cellular responses to growth factors and other stimuli. The gene encoding Crk-L is located on chromosome 22, band 11, near the chronic myelogenous leukemia breakpoint region, highlighting Crk-L′s potential relevance in cancer research.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good antibody for Western blottingThis product has been independently tested and validated in-house at Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation as a relatively potent and highly specific antibody for Western blotting with a mixture of mouse brain, testes and thymus tissue lysates. It clearly detected an appropriately sized ~36 kDa target protein in these immunoblots, which is only slightly higher than the predicted molecular mass of 33.8 kDa for Crk-L.
