CRISP-2 Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CRISP-2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CRISP-2 (D-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CRISP-2, also known as testis-specific protein TPX1 or cancer/testis antigen 36 (CT36), is a 243 amino acid secreted protein primarily expressed in testis and epididymis. CRISP-2 plays a crucial role in sperm capacitation by regulating calcium fluxes through specific ion channels, which is essential for sperm motility and fertilization. Proper functioning of CRISP-2 is vital for male fertility, as disruptions in CRISP-2 activity can lead to impaired sperm function. CRISP-2 belongs to a family of cysteine-rich secretory proteins that are evolutionarily conserved and may have roles in the innate immune system, with transcriptional regulation influenced by androgens in various tissues.
