CREB3L4 Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CREB3L4 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CREB3L4 antibody (D-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The cAMP responsive element-binding protein 3-L4 (CREB3L4), also known as AIbZIP, plays a crucial role as a transcriptional activator, binding to DNA and participating in the unfolded protein response, which is vital for cellular stress management. CREB3L4 is predominantly expressed in luminal epithelial cells of the prostate, as well as in breast and skeletal tissues, where CREB3L4 functions by dimerizing and binding to the unfolded protein response element (UPRE) of DNA to activate transcription. Androgens regulate CREB3L4 induction, which, when present in elevated levels, can lead to CREB3L4 overexpression. High levels of stress in the endoplasmic reticulum trigger the release and translocation of the N-terminal domain of CREB3L4 from the ER membrane to the nucleus, facilitating DNA access and subsequent transcriptional activation. Increased CREB3L4 levels have been associated with prostatic cancers, indicating potential involvement in tumorigenesis and making CREB3L4 a significant target for further research in cancer biology.
