    Creatine kinase-M Antibody (H-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects creatine kinase-M in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Creatine kinase-M, a muscle tissue-specific isoform of creatine kinase, plays a crucial role in energy metabolism by catalyzing the reversible transfer of phosphate from creatine to adenosine diphosphate (ADP), thereby generating adenosine triphosphate (ATP) during periods of high energy demand. This function is particularly important in muscle cells, where ATP is essential for muscle contraction and overall cellular function. Creatine kinase-M consists of 381 amino acids and is predominantly found in skeletal muscle, making creatine kinase-M a key player in maintaining energy homeostasis in muscle tissues. Additionally, creatine kinase-M is involved in the regulation of calcium homeostasis, which is vital for muscle contraction and relaxation. The ability of creatine kinase-M to rapidly regenerate ATP ensures that muscle cells can respond effectively to fluctuating energy demands, highlighting creatine kinase-M′s significance in both normal physiology and in conditions such as muscle injury or disease.
