SEE ALSO...

CPSF1 Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects CPSF1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CPSF1 (G-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CPSF1 plays a crucial role in the processing of the 3′ end of mRNA, which is essential for stability and translation of mRNA molecules. CPSF1 functions as part of the cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor (CPSF) complex, which is vital for both cleavage of mRNA precursors and addition of poly(A) tails. CPSF1 is localized in the nucleoplasm, where CPSF1 interacts with other proteins to recognize AAUAAA signal in pre-mRNA, facilitating RNA cleavage and poly(A) synthesis. The largest subunit of CPSF can bind preferentially to AAUAAA-containing RNAs and interacts specifically with suppressor of forked subunit of cleavage stimulatory factor (CstF) and poly(A) polymerase, enhancing polyadenylation efficiency. CPSF1′s interaction with U1 snRNP-A protein (U1A) stabilizes binding to AAUAAA-containing RNAs, further increasing polyadenylation efficiency. CPSF1′s ability to interact with upstream elements of viral RNAs, such as those from HIV-1, underscores CPSF1′s importance in both cellular and viral mRNA processing, making CPSF1 a critical target for research in gene expression regulation and viral pathogenesis.
