    SEE ALSO...

CPE Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CPE protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CPE antibody (H-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Carboxypeptidase E (CPE) plays a critical role in prohormone processing, specifically in removing C-terminal arginine or lysine residues following initial endoprotease cleavage. This function is essential for proper maturation of peptide hormones, including insulin, which is vital for glucose metabolism and energy homeostasis. CPE is necessary for forming normal-sized photoreceptor synaptic terminals, ensuring effective signal transmission to the inner retina, which is crucial for visual processing. The tetrameric structure of CPE, composed of two regulatory and two catalytic subunits, allows for precise enzymatic activity, further underscoring CPE′s importance in various physiological processes.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393760 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
