Copine 6 Antibody (42) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects copine 6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-copine 6 antibody (42) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose and horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Copine 6, also known as CPNE6 or Neuronal-copine, is a 557 amino acid protein that belongs to the copine family of evolutionarily conserved, soluble, calcium-dependent, membrane-binding proteins. Copine 6 plays a crucial role in signal transduction and membrane trafficking, which are essential processes for cellular communication and function. Copine 6 contains two N-terminal C2 domains and one C-terminal von Willebrand factor A (VWFA) domain, which is integral to binding phospholipids in a calcium-dependent manner. Copine 6 contributes to synaptic plasticity, a fundamental mechanism underlying learning and memory. Studies in Arabidopsis thaliana mutants lacking copine proteins show reduced cell number and smaller cell size, suggesting copine 6 may be critical for proper vesicle fusion and transport, influencing cellular morphology and function.
