SEE ALSO...

COPB Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects COPB protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). COPB (D-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. COPB protein, also known as β-COP, plays a crucial role in membrane and vesicular trafficking within the early secretory pathway, specifically mediating protein transport from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus through non-Clathrin-coated vesicles. COPB functions in maintaining cellular homeostasis and ensures proteins are correctly processed and delivered to their destinations. COPB serves as a marker for pre-Golgi intermediates, such as vesicular tubular clusters (VTCs), which are essential for cargo organization and transport within cells. COPB interacts with GIV (Gα i/s interacting protein), co-localizing with Gα i3 on vesicles near endoplasmic reticulum exit sites and cis Golgi cisternae, highlighting COPB′s importance in vesicular transport regulation. COPB′s interaction with Afadin DIL domain-interacting protein (ADIP) at the Golgi complex underscores COPB′s role in coordinating trafficking processes necessary for proper cellular function.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393615 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
