CLIC3 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects CLIC3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CLIC3 (D-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CLIC3, or chloride intracellular channel protein 3, is a vital member of the chloride ion channel family, which plays a crucial role in maintaining cellular homeostasis by regulating the flow of chloride ions across membranes. This regulation is essential for processes such as membrane potential stabilization, signal transduction, and cell volume control, all of which are critical for normal cellular function. CLIC3 is predominantly localized in the nucleus, where CLIC3 not only stimulates chloride ion channel activity but also interacts with ERK 7, suggesting a potential role in the regulation of cell proliferation. CLIC3′s structure includes a short hydrophobic domain, indicating that CLIC3 may require multimerization or interaction with other proteins to function effectively as a membrane channel or channel regulator. The diverse expression of CLIC3 across various tissues, particularly in the placenta, brain, and heart, underscores CLIC3′s importance in physiological processes and potential implications in various diseases.
