claudin-6 Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects claudin-6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-claudin-6 antibody (A-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. claudin-6 plays a crucial role in forming tight junctions, which are essential for maintaining epithelial and endothelial barrier integrity. These tight junctions regulate paracellular transport, ensuring substances can pass between cells in a controlled manner, vital for processes such as nutrient absorption and maintaining homeostasis. claudin-6, like other claudin family members, consists of four transmembrane domains and two extracellular loops, contributing to tight junction structural framework. Specific expression of claudin-6 in various tissues suggests distinct roles in different cellular contexts, influencing permeability and signaling pathways. Understanding claudin-6 function and regulation is important for elucidating potential implications in health and disease, particularly in conditions where tight junction integrity is compromised.
