Datasheets
  • Clathrin Heavy Chain/CLTC Antibody (3F132) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ, cited in 1 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against Clathrin HC corresponding to the globular N-terminal domain of human origin
  • recommended for detection of Clathrin HC of mouse, rat and human origin by WB and IP; also reactive with additional species, including bovine; not recommended for detection of native Clathrin
  • See Clathrin Heavy Chain/CLTC (TD.1): sc-12734 for Clathrin Heavy Chain/CLTC antibody conjugates, including AC, HRP, FITC, PE, Alexa Fluor® 488, 594, 647, 680 and 790.
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP, m-IgG1 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for Clathrin Heavy Chain/CLTC Antibody (3F132) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with Clathrin Heavy Chain/CLTC Antibody (3F132) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

Clathrin HC Antibody (3F132) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Clathrin HC in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-Clathrin HC antibody (3F132) plays a crucial role in studying receptor-mediated endocytosis, where Clathrin HC facilitates the engulfment of receptor proteins by clathrin-coated vesicles, thereby regulating cellular uptake of various molecules. The structure of Clathrin HC is particularly important, as Clathrin HC consists of a terminal globular domain, a distal segment, and a proximal segment that contains a binding site for light chains. This unique triskelion structure, formed by the non-covalent association of three heavy chains and three light chains, is essential for the proper functioning of clathrin in vesicle formation and trafficking. The proximal segment′s ability to interact with light chains is vital for the stability and assembly of clathrin coats, which are critical for maintaining cellular homeostasis and facilitating intracellular transport. Clathrin HC (3F132) antibody enables researchers to gain insights into the dynamics of clathrin-mediated endocytosis and its implications in various physiological and pathological processes.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with Clathrin HC (3F132): sc-58714?

Asked by: jenniferc
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
