    SEE ALSO...

CLASP1 Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CLASP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CLASP1 antibody (D-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CLASP1 plays a crucial role in the stabilization of microtubules, particularly during cell division, by binding to the plus ends of microtubules and interacting with CLIP proteins. This interaction is vital for maintaining the integrity of the mitotic spindle, as CLASP1 localizes near the distal end of growing spindle microtubules during mitosis and is a key component of the outer corona region of kinetochores. By promoting pauses in microtubule dynamics and restricting excessive growth, CLASP1 ensures proper chromosome alignment and segregation. Defects in CLASP1 can lead to severe mitotic errors, including spindle collapse and improper kinetochore attachment, which can have significant implications for cell division and overall cellular health.

Are there any issues with using sc-390159: CLASP1 (D-8) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-390159 conjugates.
