Citrate synthase Antibody (G-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects citrate synthase of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-citrate synthase antibody (G-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Citrate synthase (CS) is a crucial 466 amino acid protein located in the mitochondrial matrix, where CS plays a vital role as the first and rate-limiting enzyme of the tricarboxylic acid cycle. Citrate synthase is essential for mitochondrial respiration, facilitating glucose conversion into lipids, and is predominantly found in cells capable of oxidative metabolism.
