CHSY2 Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CHSY2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-CHSY2 antibody (E-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CHSY2 plays a crucial role in the synthesis of chondroitin sulfate, a glycosaminoglycan essential for structural integrity of the extracellular matrix and involved in numerous biological processes such as cell signaling, proliferation, and tissue morphogenesis. CHSY2 is specifically required for chondroitin polymerization, distinguishing CHSY2 from family members, CHSY1 and CHSY3, which possess additional transferase activities. Localization of CHSY2 to the Golgi apparatus is significant, as this organelle is central to processing and modification of proteins and lipids, thereby influencing overall functionality of chondroitin sulfate in various tissues. CHSY2 is ubiquitously expressed, with highest levels found in pancreas, ovary, brain, heart, skeletal muscle, colon, kidney, liver, stomach, small intestine, and placenta, highlighting CHSY2′s importance in diverse physiological contexts.
