CHMP7 Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CHMP7 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CHMP7 (F-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CHMP7 protein is a crucial component of the endosomal sorting complex required for transport (ESCRT) machinery, specifically associated with ESCRT-III complexes, which play a vital role in sorting endosomal cargo into multivesicular bodies (MVBs) and subsequent formation of these structures. CHMP7 location within the endosomal system facilitates degradation of membrane proteins, including epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), thereby regulating cellular signaling pathways. CHMP7 interacts with CHMP4B and deubiquitinating enzyme UBPY, highlighting CHMP7′s importance in dynamic processes of protein sorting and degradation. Overexpression of CHMP7 has been shown to inhibit EGFR degradation, underscoring CHMP7′s potential role in modulating cellular responses to growth factors.
