CHMP4A Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CHMP4A protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CHMP4A antibody (E-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CHMP4A protein is a member of the charged multivesicular body protein family, which plays a critical role in the endosomal sorting complex required for transport (ESCRT) pathway. This pathway is essential for the formation of multivesicular bodies (MVBs), which are involved in the degradation of membrane proteins and the sorting of proteins for exocytosis. CHMP4A, along with isoforms CHMP4B and CHMP4C, is particularly important during viral infections, such as HIV-1, where CHMP4A facilitates the budding and release of viral particles by interacting with viral proteins. CHMP4A expression is notably high in tissues such as the kidney, liver, heart, and skeletal muscle, indicating a vital role in cellular processes across various organ systems. Understanding CHMP4A function and interactions is crucial for elucidating involvement in both normal cellular physiology and disease states, making CHMP4A (E-6) monoclonal antibody an invaluable tool for researchers studying these processes.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with CHMP4A (E-6): sc-514869?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
