    SEE ALSO...

ChM-1 Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects ChM-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ChM-1 (H-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ChM-1 is a cartilage-specific matrix glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in stimulating chondrocyte growth, essential for cartilage development and maintenance. ChM-1 inhibits angiogenesis by disrupting endothelial cell tube formation, contributing to cartilage′s avascular nature. ChM-1 is predominantly expressed in proliferating and hypertrophic zones of epiphyseal plate in long bones, accumulating in interterritorial matrix surrounding lacunae. During development, ChM-1 downregulation allows angiogenesis and subsequent bone formation on cartilage template. ChM-1 expression is modulated by several growth factors, including transforming growth factor beta 2, fibroblast growth factor 2, and parathyroid hormone-like hormone, influencing cartilage and bone dynamics. Human ChM-1 gene is located on chromosome 13q14-q21, highlighting significance in developmental biology and potential pathological conditions such as pleomorphic adenomas, where altered ChM-1 expression may contribute to hypovascularity and chondroid formation.

Are there any issues with using sc-365693: ChM-1 (H-10) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-365693 conjugates.
