CHD6 Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CHD6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CHD6 (E-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CHD6 protein, also known as chromodomain-helicase-DNA-binding protein 6, is a crucial component in the regulation of chromatin structure and function, playing a significant role in DNA repair and gene expression. CHD6 is a large protein consisting of 2,715 amino acids and is encoded by the human gene CHD6. As a member of the Snf2/Rad54 helicase family, CHD6 features two chromodomains, an ATP-binding helicase domain, and a C-terminal helicase domain, which are essential for ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling activity. The chromodomains facilitate the recognition and binding of methylated lysine residues on histones, thereby influencing chromatin accessibility and transcriptional regulation. This interaction is vital for maintaining genomic stability and responding to DNA damage, underscoring the importance of CHD6 in cellular processes.
