cGAS Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects cGAS of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-cGAS antibody (D-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. cyclic GMP-AMP synthase (cGAS) plays a crucial role in innate immune response by acting as a sensor for cytosolic DNA, which is often indicative of viral infection. Upon binding to foreign DNA, cyclic GMP-AMP synthase catalyzes the synthesis of cyclic GMP-AMP (cGAMP) from ATP and GTP, a second messenger that activates the stimulator of interferon genes (STING) pathway, leading to the production of type I interferons and other pro-inflammatory cytokines.
