    SEE ALSO...

Cerberus Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects cerberus protein in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-cerberus antibody (C-1) comes in non-conjugated form and various conjugates, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® options. Cerberus protein, also known as Cer1 or Cerr, belongs to the cysteine knot superfamily and is mainly expressed in anterior gastrula regions during embryonic development. Cerberus (C-1) monoclonal antibody plays a key role in detecting proteins involved in head structure differentiation, which is essential for proper craniofacial development. Cerberus protein shows segmental expression in nascent and newly formed somites, suggesting significant involvement in axial skeleton, musculature, and peripheral nervous system development. As a secreted protein, cerberus functions in the extracellular space, inhibiting signaling molecules and modulating developmental pathways. Neural-inducing and mesoderm-inhibiting activities of cerberus result from specific binding to bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) and Nodal molecules. In mice, cerberus expression occurs in the anterior mesendoderm beneath the presumptive anterior neural plate, highlighting its role in early neural development.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515324 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
