SEE ALSO...

CEP290 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CEP290 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CEP290 antibody (B-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CEP290 protein, also known as centrosomal protein of 290 kDa, plays a crucial role in the assembly and function of centrosomes, which are essential for proper cell division and organization of microtubules. Specifically, CEP290 is involved in the localization of ciliary and phototransduction proteins in retinal photoreceptor cells, making CEP290 vital for vision. Disruptions in the function of CEP290 due to mutations can lead to severe genetic disorders, including Joubert syndrome type 5, Senior-Løken syndrome type 6, Leber congenital amaurosis type 10, and Meckel syndrome type 4, highlighting the importance of CEP290 in maintaining cellular integrity and function. CEP290 (B-7) antibody′s ability to effectively detect and quantify CEP290 makes this monoclonal antibody an invaluable tool for researchers studying centrosome biology and related diseases.
