SEE ALSO...

Centriolin Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Centriolin protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Centriolin antibody (C-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Centriolin, also known as CEP110, is a coiled-coil centrosomal protein that plays a crucial role in centrosome maturation and function, particularly during late stages of mitosis when cytokinesis occurs. This process is essential for successful division of cytoplasm, resulting in two daughter cells. Centriolin is strategically located at midbody during abscission, final step of cytokinesis, where Centriolin serves as an anchor for vesicle-fusion and exocyst complexes, facilitating separation of two cells. By regulating initiation of this critical step, Centriolin not only ensures proper cell division but also influences cell proliferation and transition into S phase of mitosis. Centriolin′s ability to coordinate these processes underscores its importance in maintaining cellular integrity and function, making Centriolin a vital target for research in cell biology and cancer studies.

in which cell type is expressed centriolin, acp1, sass6, dynactin (DCNT1) ? in Neuro2a??

Asked by: jack1111111111
Thank you for your question. Centriolin is widely expressed with highest levels in testis and trachea. We recommend the following positive controls: THP-1 cell lysate: sc-2238, SK-BR-3 cell lysate: sc-2218 or U-937 cell lysate: sc-2239.

I am using Centriolin (C-9): sc-365521 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: jenniferc
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
