    SEE ALSO...

Centaurin α2 Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Centaurin alpha 2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Centaurin α2 (F-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Centaurin alpha 2 protein plays a crucial role in regulating vesicular transport and cytoskeletal organization, primarily through interactions with the ADP-ribosylation factor (ARF) family of small GTP-binding proteins. These proteins are essential for maintaining cellular functions such as membrane trafficking and cell adhesion. Centaurin α2 is part of the Centaurin GTPase-activating protein family, which is involved in transducing phosphoinositide 3-kinase activation into the regulation of ARF-dependent pathways. Notably, Centaurin α2 is expressed in various tissues, including adipose tissue, heart, and skeletal muscle, and negatively regulates ARF-mediated actin rearrangement by binding to activated phosphoinositide 3-kinase. While the precise function of Centaurin α2 remains to be fully elucidated, high sequence similarity to Centaurin α1 suggests a potential role as an ARF6 GTPase, highlighting significance in cellular signaling and structural dynamics.
