SEE ALSO...

Cdt2 Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Cdt2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Cdt2 antibody (B-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cdt2, also known as DTL (denticleless homolog), CDW1, DCAF2, L2DTL, or RAMP, is a 730 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating cell cycle and DNA replication. Cdt2 is primarily localized to the cytoplasm and nuclear membrane, where Cdt2 participates in the proteolysis of Cdt1, a key regulator of DNA replication, particularly in response to DNA damage. The presence of seven WD repeats in Cdt2 facilitates protein-protein interactions and is essential for regulatory functions. Cdt2 is expressed in various tissues, including testis, placenta, bone marrow, thymus, and skeletal muscle, highlighting importance in cellular processes across different biological contexts. Upon DNA damage, Cdt2 undergoes phosphorylation, likely mediated by ATM or ATR kinases, which further underscores a role in maintaining genomic stability. Two isoforms of Cdt2 arise from alternative splicing, adding another layer of complexity to function and regulation.
