CDK5RAP1 Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CDK5RAP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CDK5RAP1 (D-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CDK5RAP1, also known as Cdk5 regulatory subunit-associated protein 1, plays a crucial role in regulating cyclin-dependent kinase 5 (Cdk5) activity, which is essential for neuronal differentiation and cell cycle progression. CDK5RAP1 forms a dimer with p35 to inhibit Cdk5 activation, thereby preventing excessive kinase activity that could lead to aberrant cell signaling and neurodegenerative conditions. CDK5RAP1 consists of 601 amino acids and features a TRAM domain, which facilitates tRNA binding and delivery of RNA-modifying enzymes to their targets. Four named isoforms of CDK5RAP1 are produced through alternative splicing, with high expression levels observed in heart and skeletal muscle tissues, underscoring CDK5RAP1′s importance in muscle function and development.
