CdcA1 Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CdcA1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CdcA1 (E-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CdcA1, also known as Cell Division Associated 1, plays a critical role in regulating cell-cycle progression as a member of the centromere protein complex, which is essential for proper chromosome segregation during cell division. Specifically, CdcA1 interacts with kinetochore associated 2 (KNTC2), and together they form a complex vital for dynamic connections between kinetochores and spindle microtubules. This interaction is particularly important in non-small cell lung carcinomas (NSCLC), where both CdcA1 and KNTC2 have been implicated in tumorigenesis. Targeting the CdcA1-KNTC2 complex or selectively inhibiting their activities presents a promising therapeutic strategy for lung cancer treatment, highlighting CdcA1′s significance in both cell biology and cancer research.
