Cdc13 Antibody (6F11/2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Cdc13 protein of Schizosaccharomyces pombe origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). anti-Cdc13 antibody (6F11/2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cdc13 protein, consisting of 482 amino acids, plays a crucial role in regulating cell cycle, particularly during G2/M phase transition, where Cdc13 is essential for proper mitotic progression. Cdc13 protein is localized in the nucleus and serves as a key component of the cyclin family, which is vital for forming protein kinase complexes that control cell proliferation. Notably, Cdc13 undergoes post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation at specific serine residues (Ser 177, Ser 180, and Ser 183), which can influence activity and interactions with other proteins. Understanding these modifications helps reveal how phosphorylation affects Cdc13 stability and function, ultimately impacting cell cycle regulation and cytoskeletal reorganization.
