SEE ALSO...

CD9 Antibody (ALB 6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody raised against human bone marrow, reactive with human species, and validated for applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD9, a type IV transmembrane glycoprotein, is a member of the tetraspanin family and is characterized by its four transmembrane domains and two extracellular loops. CD9 is widely expressed on the surface of various cells, including pre-B cells, eosinophils, basophils, activated T cells, and platelets. CD9 plays a pivotal role in cell-cell adhesion, migration, and intercellular communication, often acting as a scaffold within tetraspanin-enriched microdomains (TEMs) to organize interactions with integrins and other membrane proteins. A significant post-translational modification of CD9 is glycosylation, which occurs on extracellular loops and is critical for maintaining structural stability, facilitating protein-protein interactions, and influencing signal transduction. These modifications are essential for CD9′s functionality in processes such as immune responses, tissue repair, and platelet aggregation. CD9 is implicated in various pathological conditions, including hematological malignancies, as CD9 is expressed on most non-T acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells and some acute myeloid and chronic lymphoid leukemias. Anti-CD9 antibody (ALB 6) is a reliable tool for studying biological roles and regulatory mechanisms of CD9, as well as involvement in health and disease. CD9 (ALB 6) monoclonal antibody is available in non-conjugated form, making CD9 (ALB 6) antibody versatile for a wide range of experimental applications.
