CD83 Antibody (HB15E) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CD83 in human samples through immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-CD83 antibody (HB15E) recognizes a heavily glycosylated membrane protein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily, which plays a crucial role in the immune response by marking mature dendritic cells, Langerhans cells, and interdigitating reticulum cells within lymphoid tissues. CD83 (HB15E) antibody recognizes a structure including an extracellular V-type immunoglobulin-like domain, a single transmembrane domain, and a 40-residue cytoplasmic tail, which are essential for cell adhesion and signaling. CD83 monoclonal antibody (HB15E) targets a protein involved in the interactions between dendritic cells and monocytes as well as CD8+ T cells, facilitating the generation of tumor-specific T cell immunity, a critical aspect for developing effective anti-cancer vaccines. Studies involving CD83-IgG1(fc) chimeras have revealed that CD83 functions as a sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin (Siglec) adhesion molecule, further underscoring its importance in immune cell communication and the overall immune response.

How can CD83 (HB15E): sc-19678 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: Cweed
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-19678 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-19678 FITC).
