SEE ALSO...

CD8-α Antibody (C8/144B) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that specifically detects the CD8-α protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). CD8-α, also known as CD8A, T8, or Leu-2, is a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on the surface of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and some natural killer cells, playing a crucial role in the adaptive immune response. Post-translational modifications of CD8-α, such as glycosylation and phosphorylation, are essential for proper folding, stability, and function, influencing interaction with the T cell receptor (TCR) and major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules. These modifications can affect signal transduction pathways and the efficacy of T cell activation, making them important for understanding immune responses and developing therapeutic interventions. The study of CD8-α is pivotal for understanding adaptive immune responses, autoimmune conditions, and the development of novel therapeutic strategies, making anti-CD8-α antibody (C8/144B) an invaluable tool for researchers aiming to investigate T cell-mediated immunity and its implications in various disease models. CD8-α monoclonal antibody (C8/144B) is available in non-conjugated form as well as various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, to suit a wide range of experimental applications.
