SEE ALSO...

CD69 Antibody (D-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CD69 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CD69 (D-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD69, also known as the activation inducer molecule (AIM), is expressed as a disulfide-linked homodimer and plays a crucial role in the immune response by acting as one of the earliest markers of T cell, B cell, and natural killer cell activation. CD69 presence on activated lymphocytes is essential for the regulation of immune responses, as CD69 influences cell proliferation, cytokine production, and the overall activation state of immune cells. Notably, CD69 is constitutively expressed on platelets, CD4+ or CD8+ thymocytes, and germinal center T cells, while being absent from resting lymphocytes, highlighting CD69 importance as a marker for cellular activation and potential role in various immunological disorders.

How to avoid false positive signals in mouse tissue experiments.

Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question. When working with primary mouse antibodies, a secondary anti-mouse antibody may unspecifically detect primary mouse Ig present in mouse tissues. Possible solutions are: - flushing any remaining blood from tissue, which removes Ig from the tissue - using a secondary binding protein rather than a more unspecific conventional secondary antibody - using a direct conjugate, which requires no secondary antibody at all

Are there any issues with using sc-373799: CD69 (D-3) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-373799 conjugates.
