CD5L Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CD5L of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CD5L (F-1) antibody is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD5L, also known as CD5 molecule-like protein, API6, PRO229, or SP-ALPHA, is a 347 amino acid secreted protein belonging to the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich (SRCR) family, playing a crucial role in immune regulation. CD5L is predominantly expressed in immune-related tissues such as bone marrow, spleen, thymus, lymph nodes, and fetal liver, where CD5L interacts with peripheral monocytes to mediate activation and promote survival. CD5L undergoes post-translational modifications, including glycosylation, which influences stability and function, ultimately affecting immune responses. CD5L′s ability to inhibit apoptosis and enhance macrophage survival underscores its importance in maintaining immune homeostasis and responding to inflammatory signals, making CD5L a significant target for research in immunology and therapeutic interventions.
