CD5L Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CD5L protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CD5L (D-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD5L, also known as CD5 molecule-like, API6, PRO229, or Spalpha, is a 347 amino acid secreted protein belonging to the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich (SRCR) family, which plays a crucial role in regulating immune responses. CD5L protein is predominantly expressed in bone marrow, spleen, thymus, lymph nodes, and fetal liver, highlighting its importance in immune system function. CD5L protein is involved in peripheral monocyte activation and survival, which are essential for effective immune responses. CD5L protein has three cysteine-rich domains contributing to functional diversity, including potential roles in inhibiting apoptosis and promoting macrophage survival, making CD5L protein significant in maintaining immune homeostasis and responding to inflammatory signals.
