CD58 Antibody (TS2/9.1.4.3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CD58 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD58 (TS2/9.1.4.3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD58, also known as the CD2 ligand, plays a crucial role in immune response by facilitating cell adhesion through its interaction with CD2, a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on T lymphocytes, natural killer cells, and thymocytes. This interaction is vital for enhancing antigen-specific T cell activation, which is essential for an effective immune response. CD58 is heavily glycosylated and exhibits a broad tissue distribution, being present in hematopoietic cells as well as endothelial cells, underscoring its importance in both immune function and cellular communication. CD58′s ability to mediate these interactions highlights its significance in immunological processes and potential implications in therapeutic strategies targeting immune modulation.

How can CD58 (TS2/9.1.4.3): sc-20009 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: TinTin
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-20009 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-20009 FITC).
