SEE ALSO...

CD45RA Antibody (OX33) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to recognize the full-length CD45RA protein of rat origin, while also cross-reacting with mouse and human CD45RA. CD45RA monoclonal antibody (OX33) enables detection through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CD45RA, also known as B220, CD45, CD45R, GP180, IMD105, L-CA, LCA, LY5, and T200, is a transmembrane glycoprotein extensively expressed across various hematopoietic cells, playing a pivotal role in immune cell signaling and regulation. Anti-CD45RA antibody (OX33) recognizes a conserved intracellular domain responsible for phosphotyrosine phosphatase activity, which modulates tyrosine phosphorylation events initiated by the TCR/CD3 complex. This activity is crucial for activating Src and Syk family kinases, including Lck, Fyn, and ZAP-70, which drive downstream signaling cascades in immune responses. CD45RA undergoes significant post-translational modifications, particularly N-linked glycosylation, critical for proper folding, stability, and cell surface localization. Alternative splicing of exons 4, 5, and 6 generates multiple isoforms of CD45RA, such as CD45RA, CD45RB, CD45RC, and CD45RO, each differing in extracellular domains and distributed uniquely among immune cell subsets. CD45RA monoclonal antibody (OX33) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, making CD45RA (OX33) antibody an indispensable tool for studying immune cell biology, signaling mechanisms, and related hematological disorders.

Can CD45RA (OX33): sc-53048 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, CD45RA (OX33): sc-53048 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
