SEE ALSO...

CD42b Antibody (MM2/174) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CD42b of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-CD42b antibody (MM2/174) is available in non-conjugated form, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. CD42b, also known as glycoprotein Ib α (GPIb α), is a membrane glycoprotein composed of α and β chains, with the β chain also referred to as CD42c. CD42b (MM2/174) antibody recognizes a protein predominantly expressed on platelets and megakaryocytes, where CD42b plays a vital role in hemostasis. CD42b complex, in conjunction with CD42a, serves as a receptor for von Willebrand′s factor, facilitating platelet adhesion to the vascular endothelium during injury. This interaction is essential for the formation of a stable platelet plug, making CD42b a key player in the regulation of blood clotting and maintaining vascular integrity. Understanding CD42b function is critical for developing therapeutic strategies for bleeding disorders and thrombotic diseases, highlighting anti-CD42b antibody (MM2/174) importance in research and clinical applications.
