SEE ALSO...

CD26 Antibody (202.36) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects CD26 of human origin by immunoprecipitation (IP) and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-CD26 antibody (202.36) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD26, also known as dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPPIV), plays a crucial role in immune regulation, functioning as a serine exopeptidase that cleaves X-proline dipeptides from the N-terminus of polypeptides. This enzymatic activity is vital for modulating the activity of various bioactive peptides, including chemokines, which are essential for immune cell trafficking and activation. CD26 is predominantly located on the surface of T cells and other immune cells, where CD26 participates in the formation of the immunological synapse, enhancing T cell activation and cytokine production. CD26′s interaction with other proteins, such as CXCR4 and adenosine deaminase, underscores CD26′s importance in the immune response and potential implications in the pathophysiology of diseases, including HIV infection and various cancers. CD26′s ability to influence T helper 1 cytokine production, such as interferon-gamma, tumor necrosis factor-alpha, and interleukin-6, highlights CD26′s significance in both normal immune function and disease processes, making CD26 (202.36) monoclonal antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying immune regulation and cancer biology.

How can CD26 (202.36): sc-7633 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-7633 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-7633 FITC).
