CD24 Antibody (SN3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CD24 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-CD24 antibody (SN3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD24 is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored membrane sialoglycoprotein predominantly expressed on pro-B, pre-B, and mature B cells, with expression decreasing following B cell activation. CD24 is also present on granulocytes and a small subset of thymocytes and neuroblastomas, but is absent in plasma cells. CD24 plays a crucial role in regulating B cell proliferation and differentiation, making CD24 significant in both normal immune responses and hematological malignancies. CD24 expression is associated with a variety of solid tumors, where a shift from apical localization to cytoplasmic staining serves as a surrogate marker for stromal invasion in ovarian serous tumors of borderline malignancy. As a differentiation marker, CD24 is expressed on mature resting B cells and is downregulated upon stimulation, highlighting CD24′s importance in understanding B cell biology and potential therapeutic targets in cancer.
