    SEE ALSO...

CD2 Antibody (3B6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CD2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD2 is a crucial transmembrane glycoprotein primarily expressed on peripheral blood T lymphocytes, natural killer (NK) cells, and thymocytes, as well as on mouse B cells and rat splenic macrophages. CD2′s primary function is to mediate cell adhesion through interaction with CD58 ligand, which enhances antigen-specific T cell activation. This interaction is vital for optimizing immune system recognition, as CD2 facilitates communication between helper T lymphocytes and antigen-presenting cells, as well as between cytolytic effectors and target cells. The importance of CD2 in immune responses underscores CD2′s potential as a therapeutic target in various immunological disorders. Anti-CD2 antibody (3B6) provides a reliable tool for researchers studying T cell activation and immune interactions, contributing to a deeper understanding of immune system dynamics.

How can CD2 (3B6): sc-18907 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

    Asked by: Germaine
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-18907 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-18907 FITC).
