SEE ALSO...

CD1D Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CD1D in mouse, rat, and mink samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CD1D (G-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The CD1 multigene family encodes five distinct forms of CD1 T cell surface glycoprotein in humans: CD1A, CD1B, CD1C, CD1D, and CD1E. CD1D plays a crucial role in the immune system by presenting lipid antigens to T lymphocytes, which is essential for immune cell activation. CD1D is structurally similar to major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules and associates with β-2-Microglobulin, expressing on cortical thymocytes, Langerhans cells, a subset of B cells, and certain dendritic cells. Adaptor protein complexes and CD1-associated chaperones regulate CD1D-restricted T cell trafficking and functional maturation. CD1D appears on human intestinal epithelial cells in two forms: a β-2-Microglobulin-independent nonglycosylated variant and a β-2-Microglobulin-dependent glycosylated form. The human CD1D gene, located on chromosome 1q23.1, encodes a 335 amino acid protein vital for normal T cell maturation, highlighting CD1D′s importance in maintaining immune homeostasis.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-373858 P appropriate for?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
